Just wondering if you could recommend any pregnancy books ? I was going to get what to expect when you're expecting but the reviews aren't great and a lot of them said it's too American and not relevant to them. Any help appreciated

Pregnancy for men is quite funny.

Not pregnancy as such, but your baby week by week is fantastic for when baby is here

Birth like a feminist by Milli Hill - one for earlier on in pregnancy not a few weeks before birth

Inducing Labour: making informed decisions by Sara Wickham - one that’s definitely helpful a few weeks before birth.

“Expecting Better”, by Emily Oster was very reassuring to me.

Definitely the two Milli Hill books and Expecting Better. I really liked the DK Pregnancy week by week book first time round as a bit of light reading and prompting for getting things done, questions to ask etc but it hasn't got anything especially earth shattering in it if you've had one child already.

I liked expecting better too. Although it is also pretty American albeit with token UK comments.

I read what to expect etc when I was planning to start ttc and it put me off so much I delayed for a year! (It was mostly talking rubbish or at least portraying a very negative view)
