Just needed to post this somewhere...

We've been trying since 2016. Did 3 IVF cycles and had surgery to get first baby who was born in Aug 20z

Did an IVF cycle in May BFN, was supposed to start 5th IVF cycle this week but got a natural BFP!!!

I'm in shock.

Have a fridge full of meds and going to have two under two in 9 months if things go as hoped 😁

Wow!! Huge congrats!!!

I started ttc in 2016 too! had an ivf dd (my first round) in 2019. Her (surprise and 'naturally conceived') brother is 4 months old.

I remember having sooo many feelings!!

FingersXssd83 · 05/08/2021 19:14

Oh I remember you @physicskate We cycled together! Thank you!

I started IVF in Oct 2018 and had my baby just last year. It's been such a traumatic slog.

You hear about this kind of thing happening to others but never in my dreams did I think I'd catch naturally.

I currently have £2.5k worth of meds in my fridge... happy to never have to use them or visit a clinic again!!!

I'm saying all this with great trepidation though as it's such early days. However good things happen to people all the time so why can't I have some luck for once, right?!

Hope life with two little ones is fun. They are such blessings 💖

Yup! Your name certainly feels familiar!!

I was absolutely gobsmacked when I found out about ds. Life is certainly different for me now, but the change from one to two has been a lot easier than from zero to one.

I lost out on enhanced maternity pay by less than three weeks. It's about what it would have cost to use our frosties (which we have now given to research which is still a very emotional decision for me). So actually, that felt somehow right?? If that makes any sense, it might make sense to you?

I really didn't consider myself pregnant until I was at least 15 weeks with ds. I was very blasé because I think I was in denial. It was like, 'oh yeah right I'm pregnant. Sure.' I felt really weird telling people too because a) it didn't feel real and b) it was all during covid so I saw very few of my friends and it felt like a really weird thing to bring up.

All the feelings.

One day at a time.

Good luck!!

How lovely! I wish you all the best. What an amazing surprise! X

Thank you!

I'm a bag of nerves and oh so tired. Unsure if it's having a little one or pregnancy. I don't remember being this tired with my last.

Couldn't sleep last night as I was so anxious. Feels strange being pregnant this way somehow. Like it isn't real.

Anyway, hoping for a positive and healthy 9 months ahead!

@physicskate completely understand your thinking about your frosties. Who'd have thought we'd go from facing childlessness to this. Unbelievable!
