Hi,
I’m a pole fitness teacher, I have taught pole fitness for around 4 years so I’m comfortable with moves that I teach.

I’m intrigued to know if any of you have also taught or trained pole fitness when pregnant and what your experience was, I understand everyone’s different and will have there own experiences.

When did you stop teaching/training?
What moves you stayed about from?
What did your generally feel like?
How did you get on spinning with sickness?

I’m expecting mixed response as our body’s all react in different ways.

I want to carry on teaching for as long as it’s safe and with doctors approval.

As with any forms of exercise you can continue as long as you feel well doing it. Your body will let you know if you are overdoing things.

I've never done pole. I did continue powerlifting until I was over 35wk despite SPD/PGP though, slowly reduced weight/volume as I got bigger. Only gave it up as baby got very low in my pelvis and felt like she was going to pop out with the heavy lifts.

I'm not a teacher of pole fitness but I did go every week, when I told my instructor I was pregnant she told me that that was my last session until after the baby is born, she said I can still do things like pole flow but I just don't feel comfortable doing it with a bump and not sure I can wear my shoes.. gutted!
