Hi,

I had my screening results for down syndrome and wanted to know if I should take aspirin to improve my PAPP-A score .

My NT was 1.3mm
hCG was 0.55 MoM
PAPP-A was 1.06 MoM

I am low risk for all conditions

It's a normal result so why would you? A doctor would be better placed to give you information though.

Only your hcg is on the lower side. Everything else is close to 1 mom

What is the normal range for HCG?

Your BHCG and PAPP-A you want as close to 1MoM, you can’t increase your BHCG and there’s no need to as your pregnancy is clearly progressing well, low PAPP-A requiring aspirin is

@JumperooSue thank you.

I'm just concerned that low HCG may affect the growth of the baby going forward. As I am only 12w5d

Low HCG will have absolutely no impacted on growth, HCG is naturally produced by the body as the pregnancy progresses it’s looked at as part of the screening tool in relation to the chromosomes (very high HCG can be a indicator of downs syndrome) Low PAPP-A is the part that can (but not always) affect growth, yours is no where even near low, it’s a completely normal result.
