Early pregnancy spotting

Hi everyone, I found out I'm pregnant last week after me and my partner have been trying for over a year, my missed period was last Tuesday and according to my app I'm 4 weeks 4 days. Today I've had some brown spotting and I'm thinking the worst, I was just wanting some advice or reassurance if this is normal, it's really dark brown and a bit thick but not really heavy, I was wondering if this is normal in early pregnancy?

I had this for about 10 days when I was about 5 or 6 weeks. I went to the EPU and the doc said that she often sees this. Sometimes it can be a miscarriage and sometimes it isn't. She told me to come back if it got really heavy, if I started passing clots or if I soaked a pad. It got a bit heavier but then just disappeared and I haven't had it since (I'm now 14 weeks). I believe it can be implantation bleeding.

Honestly it can go either way in my experience. Last year I had brown spotting from 5 weeks which ended in a mc. In my current pregnancy I've had brown, pink & red spotting but I'm now 24 weeks & everything is fine.
