Hi, I’m wondering if anyone’s been through similar.
I’m currently 5+2 with 3rd baby. I have been spotting/bleeding since Saturday. Went to EPU on Monday and they did an internal exam (no ultrasound) and said cervix was soft with some bleeding coming from womb but couldn’t rule out ectopic. Took bloods and got a call back later that day to say hcg was 77 and just to take another pregnancy test on 2nd august and call them back if it was still positive.

Bleeding and spotting has continued and varies in amounts and colour from light pink to bright red, dark red and brown. Sometimes there’s only a little when I wipe, sometimes it goes onto a pad but not enough to soak it like it would during a period. I’ve had some mild cramping, like period pains through the day and occasional sharp shooting pains.

I’ve been contacted by track and trace and am now also in isolation till 11:59pm on tuesday, daily tests are still coming back dark and positive.

Just looking for any advice or positives, I think I’d rather know what’s going on either way as a mc or ok but more so I’d just like to know it’s in the right place and not ectopic.

Photos of bleeding/discharge, sorry if tmi, my anxiety is in overdrive

I hope you’re feeling okay with this - the worry is awful. I’m going through the exact same right now and am not sure what to expect. Some women bleed through pregnancy and others don’t. It can be the start of a miscarriage or it could just be spotting/implantation. Every EPU is different but try and call yours to see what they advise x

I've spoken to epu, they gave me no reassurance other than take another pregnancy test on 2nd august then contact them again if it's positive. Every time I bleed or have a niggle of pain my anxiety sets in even more

I would suggest calling another local EPU - this is what I did to gain a few opinions as it seems the advice you receive honestly depends on the person answering the phone (sadly). I don’t think a lot of them see people this early in pregnancy with bleeding as it isn’t ‘uncommon’ unless you have quite bad pain with it. Same situation as me so I can relate to how you are feeling and it’s definitely easier said than done but try to relax & hope for the best, but do prepare yourself incase it is the start of MC. From what I’ve read and people on here have said, if the bleeding worsens (bright red blood that gets thicker or clots) then you are most likely MC but only way to know would be to go to the GP/EPU (id probably just turn up at this stage).

When I say see sorry I mean to do thorough investigations, eg bloods/repeat scans over the course of 2-3 weeks.
