Fit to fly certificate for Jet2

Has anyone recently flown with a fit to fly certificate/doctors certificate? Could you let me know what you've had to if so? The terms and conditions say a doctors letter is needed but I can see there is also a fit to fly standard certificate I can see online which looks like it can be signed by a midwife. Thanks.

I’m currently on holiday with Jet2, I showed this at check in and all was fine. It’s my 5th baby and I’m ginormous for 29 weeks so a few staff asked my gestation but other than showing this from my midwife no one has batted an eyelid!

Ah amazing thank you. I'll ask my midwife then and hopefully she will have a letter like that they can give me. I'll be nearly 35 weeks by the time I fly so I'm sure they will ask as I'm also ginormous!

36 weeks is their cut off period, 32 weeks for twins (I think) x

You're cutting it fine one the way back, how long are you going for?

I know 😫. I fly back the day before I'm 36 weeks which is my cut off. We are only going for one week. It's a family holiday with all of one side of my family that was booked before I got pregnant and for various medical reasons I won't go into is probably the last time I will be away with my dad.

Hi @pigglepot

Was curious to know what you did in the end? I ask because i need a F2F letter - i asked the midewife and she just told me i needed to get this from the GP. Anyway, i call the GP and am told it'll cost between £30-60!

Seemingly from a few things I have read, the midwife is actuually perfectly able to do this easily for free, so i wondered what you did? Would be useful to know as I wouldnt be surprised if the midwife was fobbing me off as she has been awful from day 1 tbh

Any advice aprpectated!

I’ve just got back from holiday and my midwife and gp said they weren’t giving out fit to fly notes as they don’t recommend it’s safe to travel with COVID. I flew with jet2 and just wore an oversized baggy dress and no one said anything x
