Would you call the hospital about this?

I’m currently 23 weeks and have only stared to feel my baby move in the last 10ish days to 2 weeks. I have an anterior placenta so I haven’t felt the movements as strongly as i did in my previous two pregnancies.

Yesterday I noticed more movements during the day but then when it was evening/time I went to bed there was no movements when this was usually when I would feel things more.

Today I have felt baby move two or three times but it’s hard to tell because of where my placenta is. I have also noticed a lot more mucus today when I go to the bathroom (sorry for the tmi) and a slight cramp in my left side.

My midwife advised to only call about reduced movements from 24 weeks so I’m not sure if I should call the hospital, would they want me to come in or just say it’s down to the position of my placenta?

Thank you

I don't think there's any harm in calling despite what your midwife says. End of the day your gut feeling is most important if something isn't sitting right with you then call. I called when I was 22 weeks and they were happy to see me.

Yes sometimes they can be a bit funny but if you state it's concerning you and I need to be seen then they can't turn you down. You're nearly 24 weeks so it's not like you're super early!

You know you've felt baby now so if it doesn't seem right then call explaining exactly how you've been feeling etc.

I hope they take you seriously.

Lots of love keep us posted x

If you are worried then call ☺️

I agree with the other posters... If you’re not happy or things don’t feel quite right then give them a call Smile. They would happily see you and check baby out. You know your baby and their usual pattern the most. It will put your mind at rest. All the best Flowers

Give them a call if you are worried. I have the dreaded anterior placenta too, and it’s my first. I would go days without feeling anything! And probably only started to feel regular movement at around 28-30 weeks! Even now at 37 weeks if she moves into certain positions I have to really concentrate to feel her.

I wish I would have called in those early weeks as it would have saved me a lot of unnecessary stress and worry! Instead I sat at home panicking everyday which did no one any good x
