I'm 25 weeks, massive, have SPD among other issues and I'm just so fed up. I'm not enjoying the weather at all and my flat is a sauna that I can't get cool despite fans and open windows. I'm showering in cool water 4 times a day.

It's too humid and sweaty outside I can't enjoy any outdoor activities either.

Anyone else?

Pretty much everyone else tbh. I'm 25 weeks too, don't have a big bump or any issues but have 2dc under 6 to still be running around after all day. Keep your windows closed during the day, curtains/blinds too if you want to/can, only open windows when it's cooler in the evening, otherwise you're just letting the hot air in.

24 weeks and sitting with a fan on me full blast again. I can’t do much without feeling sick despite drinking plenty and not doing much!

Get some freezer blocks and put one in a pillow case at night. I put it on my neck and it cools me down enough to sleep.

Yes me. 29 weeks and also have PGP/SPD and also huge bump (this is my second). I WFH and not being very productive - with windows wide open, curtains closed as much as I can tolerate to still see my screens, and the fan on full blast, the room is 27-28 degrees the last few days. My blood pressure was too low Sunday & Monday and I kept feeling so faint and unwell but have upped my fluids and doing better for it. Also the nights are terrible, very sleep deprived after the last 3 nights of not being able to sleep properly with the heat. My last baby was a June baby and it was a heatwave when she was born so that was hard too but at least it was only one/two months of hot weather before she came whereas I could be looking at a good few of them this time as am due in October eurgh.

Ohh gosh I really feel for you ladies!!
I'm only 9 weeks and it's killing me off! I have got 2 toddlers under 3 running about though and I'm still sick to my stomach so that's not helping at all!
And they just want to be outside in the pool and I can't bare to be outside at the moment 🤢🥵
Both of mine are winter babies so I've never been heavily pregnant in heat before but honestly I take my hat off to each and every one of you!!

Me! I am 38 weeks tomorrow and I am counting down to the weekend when we are predicted lower temperatures and a thunder storm! I am pretty much camping out inside all day everyday at the moment. I enjoy my first cuppa out in the garden before it gets too warm and then go and sit out there in the evening once it’s cooled down. Feet in and out of cold water and cold showers are a must! I am struggling with bed time more than anything so have been sleeping downstairs on the sofa (not comfortable!) but I leave the patio doors open which is absolute bliss! Tried sleeping in bed last night and got to 1:30 and had to come back down! A couple more days or so to get through before the temp hopefully dips... We’ve got this ladies!

30 weeks and living for rain

Bas27 · 21/07/2021 21:37

28 weeks (DC#2) and dying. My brain has been fried and pickled as well - can't even think straight. Like others I'm waiting for the rain. Sent DH to 4 different shops yesterday looking for a fan because we don't have one! No joy.

Toastedsesame · 21/07/2021 22:06

25 and not loving it at all. I have a 3yo who also wants to be outside all day.

Going to bed in a wet t shirt with the fan on is a big help.

Toastedsesame · 21/07/2021 22:07

That was meant to say 25 weeks 😂 I'm definitely older than 25.

I’m 39 weeks on Friday and struggling but I’d rather be at this stage than first trimester!

Peachee · 21/07/2021 22:42

28 weeks and struggling too! Sleeping with a wet muslin draped over me and the fan on. The upstairs in our house is stifling. My skin feels like it’s burning. The joys of carrying a little hot water bottle round all day and night.
Have I lost the plot thinking that the baby might boil inside..

MrsB2019x · 22/07/2021 08:01

37 weeks tomorrow and I’ve genuinely thought I might die several times over the last week 😂 it’s just unbearable. A lady told me about draping a muslin cloth over yourself the other day and that has been a game changer, it stays cool for a few hours and helps me sleep, even just a little bit
