TMI - Pregnancy discharge, what is normal?

I am currently 10 weeks pregnant, and the last 2 days I’ve had a a yellowish-brown discharge.

Definitely not bleeding, but definitely not a normal colour either. It’s weird. It doesn’t smell.

Is this normal?

I’m a IVFer, so I am anxious - but can’t find anything on this.

I’m keep an eye on it in case it turns into bleeding.

I’ve had a scan at 8 weeks, everything was fine. I wanted to avoid another scan until 12 weeks if I can!

Anyone else experienced this?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Could be an infection - contact midwife as she’ll probably want you to have a swab x

@CurlyWurlyTwos I have had this throughout my pregnancy and have been swabbed and am all good. I also googled and found nothing but I guess if that's 'normal' for you then it's normal!

Thanks for your replies!

I thought I’d put it out there before contacting the midwife.

It doesn’t ‘feel’ like an infection, not itchy or stinky. I’m not in any discomfort at all, I feel perfectly normal - it’s a colour which is plain wrong!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Defo worth just checking with your midwife but brown is usually a sign of old blood, as opposed to red which can be more alarming. Hopefully nothing to worry about and your midwife can put your mind at ease. A scan at 10 weeks can't do anything other than reassure, so best to wait for 12 if possible

I’d definitely prefer to wait it out @DirtyDancing! I have high scan-anxiety as it is!

It’s completely stopped now - and I’m back to normal. Weird
