Ladies, I know this is really unhealthy but since I found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks, I have been totally bed ridden with sickness/dizziness I’m so hot I cannot leave my fan I’m now 16+5.
Whenever I get up, my heart rate feels so high.
I have my 8 year old off school and he’s just smashed a glass by accident and I had to get up and clean it.
I kneeled down my legs feel like led and I found it so hard to even stand up with my own weight.
I’m concerned for my own health but feel like absolute death.
Any advice? Has anybody been through this? I don’t know where to turn xx

You need to contact your doctor and ask for a full check up.

What does your GP/midwife say?

That sounds awful

MrsGxx · 20/07/2021 11:40

@HalfShrunkMoreToGo GP won’t do anything, even when I am persistent.
@KateTheEighth doctors are not interested and I’m not sure if midwife would do a home visit for me so I can talk through everything, I thought it would have eased off by now. I was in hospital 2 weeks ago with a slight bleed - everything is fine. But I knew my heart rate was high then, but they just put it down to being pregnant I just can’t do anything 😢 I have had enough.

That doesn't sound right to me. Do you have anyone that could push on your behalf to be seen?

Sheisfee · 20/07/2021 11:50

I was similar until about 16 weeks - literally couldn’t do anything and I’m really very active usually. What is your resting heart rate?

The way I got anyone to do anything was to turn up at a&e due to my heart - I have absolutely nothing seriously wrong just lots of ectopic beats and palpitations and I’m feeling much better now. Xx

MrsGxx · 20/07/2021 11:54

@starbrightstarlight8888 my husband will be home from work soon, he is going to have a go for me

@Sheisfee it’s awful, I literally cannot do anything except lay in bed. I think I’m really worried for my health with not even being able to lift my own weight back up :/ I was in hospital 2 weeks ago today and my heart rate was 125 but they put it down to pregnancy. I just want to be able to go out and feel better :( xx

This just shocking OP

I really hope you get some help Thanks

Sounds like dehydration to me. That will increase your heart rate, and make you feel sick, dizzy and lack energy (hence the heavy feeling).

I'd get some lucozade sports drinks down you ASAP.

edin16 · 20/07/2021 12:43

If your midwife and gp won't see you I'd call your maternity unit. And demand to be taken seriously, just keep calling constantly if that's what it takes.

thingymaboob · 20/07/2021 12:51

How much fluid are you drinking? How often are you being sick?

romdowa · 20/07/2021 12:52

Try drinking a rehydration drink everyday and see if that helps your heart rate come down. It could actually be your blood pressure has dropped (common in pregnancy) and your body is increasing your heart rate to bring it back up. I would definitely report this to your midwife too .

I felt like this and just put it down to having a rough pregnancy but it was gestational diabetes.
