Pregnant in this heat - anyone else struggling?

This is a bit of a whinge, but DH in particular doesn't seem to understand how much more unbearable hot weather is when you are pregnant, so just looking for a bit of solidarity from others who are struggling in this heat!

I am WFH, as my workplace won't be returning to our hybrid 2 days a week in the office until September. I am almost 23 weeks and I found trying to work at home today impossible due to feeling lightheaded and lethargic. I live in a small Victorian terrace with very little ventilation and it was like a furnace today. Anyone else really struggling?

Arghhhhhhhhhh I'm melting - 30 weeks, 2nd pregnancy! To be fair when my daughter was a month old we had weather like this and I was out of my mind with worry about the heat for a newborn so I'm happier this time round that it's only me suffering.

Talk to your line manager as they should be understanding of the effect the heat will be having on you - possibly adding it to your expectant mother risk assessment. You may be able to get a fan from work as well. If possible try to negotiate working earlier in the day when it's cooler - I worked from 7am til lunch instead today.

Also, if you have one, sitting in a cold bath in the middle day can really help!

My line manager has agreed to let me work non standard hours over the next few days.
Instead of the usual 9-5, I will be working my hours in the early morning and late evening. I am hoping that helps a bit.
