Hi Everyone, hoping for abit of advice/help please.
Diagnosed at 24 with PCOS was told I'd need help with getting pg (wasn't really an issue then, wasn't trying) fell pregnant naturally and have an amazing DD. Who u am so thankful and lucky to have.
Fast forward to 2019 (I'm now almost 32) coil removed slightly irregular periods but still had one every month just cycles varied from 29 to 36 days (wasn't too concerned really) after 11 long months finally fell pg but sadly miscarried at 12 weeks. One year on and I'm still not pregnant despite hearing your more fertile straight after. It would appear its had the opposite effect on me... my OPK's used to have a faint line gradual increase/peak then fade (normal) Annoyingly the last 3 months my opks have gone haywire, my day 21 bloods showed I didn't ovulate (and were below 1) opks show high readings all the time. So high LH I assume.
This started once I changed my diet and cut down on carbs and sugar so what the hell?!
I'm honestly so lost I just don't know what to do. The GP suggested the change in diet. (and has basically said if it's PCOS to keep trying)
My bmi is already quite low (at the high end of underweight) so I didn't want to be too drastic with cutting down. Although I have cut out so much more than I realised! I've been taking Vit B Complex and started this month with Inositol.
What am I doing wrong. Should I ditch the OPK's. Is there something else I should be trying (or not) I'm so fed up any advice would please be welcome. Thank you.

Why don't you speak to your GP for a referral to a gynaecologist. There are medications to help you ovulate, they can run tests to help find some answers and a step forward.
Also worth getting your partner tested to make sure his all good.

The GP didn't suggest trying Metformin if you aren't ovulating with PCOS? Although it does do a similar thing to Myo -inositol so maybe it won't make any difference (it just works differently so you can take both). You could also try a NAC supplement - I take all 3 (I am the fat PCOS though - BMI 27, rather than the thin one so I don't know if that makes a difference). The other thing you could discuss is trying fertility meds like clomid or letrozole if you can get a doc or specialist to prescribe them.

Hey I am on Letrozole to induce ovulation, OPKa show high LH but no egg reasled during ovulation so Letrozole is not helping, been trying now for about 3 years.

Wishing you good luck but speak to the GP about referral to Gino.

Thank you so much everyone. I don't know if I'd qualify to be referred or if I'd even be able to have medication to bring on ovulation as I do have a child already. Which makes me sound so ungrateful but honestly it's so hard just being left. I feel like I will always be stuck in this awful limbo. I think I'll give it a few months of inositol then go back to my gp and try and push for a referral if I can! Thank you again I really appreciate it. 💜

@Snoopysnores I have a son already 8 years old,

In the last 6 years 3 miscarriages behind me and only last year ago I have been referred to gino to help me get pregnant and give a birth but with no success, I have been on Letrozole for 1 year and still no sign of ovulation. I am waiting to hear the results and plan from my gino today.

@Snoopysnores

I will suggest to do a full blood test and ask for a copy of results as you have a different types of PCOS and like in my situation its nothing to do with insulin resistance but with too high prolactin ( after 8 years I still have milk in my breast sometimes because of that!)

And then once you know where you stand you can try to do some research 🧐

Keep going with the vitamin B complex too 👍 I took a high strength one from H&B I think it’s called Busy B… I tried for 5 years unsuccessfully and this is the only thing I differently just before I fell pregnant. My cycles were much longer and irregular though. I conceived around cycle day 61 I think!
