Hi

I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and at the start of pregnancy I had a BMI of 35 (obese). I have not had much sickness but just generally I am getting full quicker and probably not stuffing my face as I did before pregnancy. I also noticed on my fitness watch that due to the pregnancy I am burning an extra 400 calories per day.

So far my weight has not changed not even 1 pound and baby is growing perfectly. Prior to pregnancy I probably would binge eat a lot but for some reason my mind has started to self regulate a bit more on it's own and I don't even need to calorie count.

How is everyone else at this stage.

I have not gained any weight since 16wk, now 35+3 and hoping to stay around the same weight until birth. I did gain a lit early on with terrible carb loading with nausea and bmi was 32 at booking. My appetite dropped right off when I got in to the 3rd trimester and I've kept up powerlifting and stayed fairly active in general (though much slower these days). Baby is thriving and way above average on growth.
