We're being really cautious because of a bad experience last time around and have only told one set of parents and two close friends. We also waited until after the 12 week NT results.

Curious to hear when you told people. I would love to announce it to the world but I daren't yet. Also I'm getting married in 10 days and worried people will guess...

I have a big mouth so my closest friend and mum knew when I had a BFP at 8DPO!
I’m in a similar situation to you, I had my hen do booked for all you can drink girls weekend at 4 weeks pregnant so had to explain to my 10 friends that I was unable to. They knew as I had been vocal about my TTC struggles. We got married with 30 last week and most people knew and the ones who didn’t guessed when I rejected the tequila. We are 12 weeks Friday so I will finally announce after our scan.
I understand why people wait until 12 weeks but it can be hard to hold in and if you want to share it with those that matter, why shouldn’t you celebrate! X

Congratulations on all accounts! We should be able to celebrate it but 12 weeks is a looooooong time when you're pregnant. Last time, we announced it at 9w and then sadly lost it so it was awful telling everyone that a week later. So much so, I'm inclined to leave it until it's born (joke!)

Argh! I've said I'd like to wait until half way ish although by then it'll be undeniable!

We told people this time between 14 and now at 24 weeks, well we only told my mum at 14 weeks, nobody else until 22 weeks. No big announcements or anything. With our other dc we did similar, told people as we saw them from 13 weeks after the scan. On my last pregnancy we told my mum and best friend at 8 weeks and at 10 weeks had a missed miscarriage which had already stopped growing by 7 weeks, which was gutting.
