Can't stop eating crap!

Hi ladies! I'm currently 9+4 and have found myself constantly eating crap. I never want to eat a full meal but could graze all day on biscuits and chocolate. I think it is because I'm exhausted and my body wants a sugar fix. Will it pass? Or do I need to seriously sort my diet out? I'm really worried I'm going to end up with diabetes if it continues. Has anyone else experienced this or have some ways to stop me polishing off a cake a day x

Ergh, I feel you! 10+1 here and only really fancy toast and crisps. Although I've found that if I do eat a reasonable hot meal (pasta or something not too adventurous) it makes me feel better for longer and I don't need the beige carbs so much. Although I can't face cooking, so have had to delegate the actual cooking of said hot dinner to someone else!

Once I hit 2nd trimester my cravings really calmed down. However, I was in the habit of eating cheap and so just continued to do so using the good excuse of pregnancy. I wouldn't do that again, I regret it now.

My advice would be to go easy on yourself for the first 12 weeks and then as you start to get more energy, go back to healthier eating habits.

Habit of eating crap I meant.

Don't worry about it, just get through the first trimester anyway you can! I lived on white bread and mini chedders... don't think I ate a single vegetable in all that time. Thankfully, during my second apart from the odd funny day my appetite completely returned to normal and haven't had many cravings so trying not to over eat or over indulge wherever possible but not denying myself what I fancy 🙂. 23 weeks now so I'll probs eat my words very soon!

Don't worry - in my first pregnancy I lived off custard creams and white buttered toast. I'm genuinely not exaggerating. I couldn't stomach any fruit or veg apart from the odd potato! Baby perfectly healthy and the weight came off easily.

I am personally just trying to get through the first trimester - it is rough! So my diet has been all over the place, living on bread and biscuits one minute (only things I could keep down), to pizza etc the next as I felt so hormonal and rubbish. Barely eaten anything healthy and haven't had the energy to exercise - having to nap every day as well as a full nights sleep. I have already put on about 6lbs since week 4 when I found out (I am week 11 now).

I am hoping once I get into the second trimester I will get more energy and not feel so sick and therefore can restart my healthy eating and get some exercise in!! I have heard 2nd trimester is meant to be so much better for energy!
