I just ate a mini roll that went out of date 5 days ago. I’m panicking as there is cream in it. I’m pregnant with twins. Worried about food poisoning? Am I safer to be sick?

Don’t worry, if it were real cream it would be in the chilled section.

You'll be completely fine. It wouldn't have been fresh cream if it was a packaged one. Relax, honestly not a problem at all.

Was it best before? Because that’s to do with quality deterioration rather than it being unsafe to eat.

As they’re shelf stable, it should be, so don’t worry.

Use by, is the one to ensure you stick to. The third is display until, that’s normally for fruit and veg and down to you to make a judgement call. If it looks, smells and tastes alright, it’s probably alright.

Totally fine, not proper cream….as previous OP said, even if it was it wouldn’t do any harm. Breathe , relax and have a brew

The preservatives in it will mean that it shouldn't give you food poisoning. You'll be fine.

Thanks for the quick responses. I went in panic mode. First babies and needed advice from fellow mums/ mums to be.
I’ll breathe now 🙏🏽
