Think I'm about to have a miscarriage

I had an early scan and measured smaller than it should have. They saw a yolk sac but nothing else. Now I'm having regular cramps. (9 weeks) Is there any hope that things might be ok? I've got a second scan next week.

How many weeks were you at your early scan? Cramping is normal in early pregnancy (infact its normal throughout) there’s really no way of telling until you get another scan x

I had proper period cramping from before my period would've been due up til about 10 weeks I think.

Think your uterus is growing and getting used to a foreign object so cramps are totally normally.

How much smaller were you measuring and how confident were you on dates? Eg do you know exact date you ovulated?

Hi, I should have been over 8 weeks (sure of my dates) and the sonographer said she was seeing exactly what she should see for 5. I know my uterus is retroverted so I'm hoping maybe this is why it was measuring smaller. 🙏
