Pains at side of bump

I've noticed the last few days the pain at the bottom sides of my stomach when I move (especially lying position) hurts soooo badly. I feel like it's an elastic and I can't move it as well as I want too. My belly is also getting harder too move when turning at night and can cause pain. Is this normal?

I’ve been having something like this and a scan showed it’s where my baby is pushing his head and it’s right against ligaments which is why it feels like elastic to me. Are you quite far along? I’m nearly 38 week

I've had this too, is it a sharp pain? If so, it's definitely round ligament pain. It catches me off guard, almost like a really bad stitch!! Turn over as slowly as you can and rub the side of your belly. I find that helps.

Yes sudden sharp pains but they're really bad I didn't expect them too become like this , I can't get in good positions when in bed 😂 another 10 weeks of this! Godhelp is

I've had this since 30 weeks. Midwives shrugged it off. I can hardly move and I'm 39 weeks. Have started taking painkillers just to get some respite and sleep.

I’m really sorry about the twin 🥲

I’m 21 weeks and the pains in my lower bump have been waking me up. I read it can be braxton hicks that early as well as round ligament 😩

@Natasha2021 I could have written this post today.

Have had pain on right side of my bump all day (I work in a hospital) and it is so incredibly sharp and painful at times. Are you getting it just at night or in day as well? Mine has been fairly constant today but goes as soon as I lie down and rest which makes me think it must be round ligament related. I'm 27 weeks today and wonder how I can do another 10+ weeks of this 🤦‍♀️

I started with this earlier in pregnancy too, the midwife told me to try a pillow under my bump when lay down and it really helps me, after a few days the pain when lying down had gone and I only get it when stood up if I move too quickly so having a sit down and rubbing the area in pain helps.

JoFranks01 · 02/07/2021 12:42

If you're getting pains in the day, I would definitely recommend getting a pregnancy band! Made a huge difference to walking around in the day or standing up for a long time. Amazon have loads!

Sweetpea12 · 02/07/2021 13:08

The pains I get now at almost 38 weeks nothing helps and lying in a pregnancy pillow I feel was making my pains worse last night so all the best with the next lot of weeks. I’m glad I’m near the end 😆

Does anyone else get pain around their belly button? Mine feels so incredibly sore some days!

SHB2021 · 04/07/2021 21:27

I get these too. I'm almost 28 weeks and have been having them for some time.
Rolling over in bed is the WORST! I've learnt to keep my legs together and keep a supportive arm under bump which helps.
Also get ligament pain during th me day right at the bottom of bump. Some days worse than others.
Have no idea how I'll make term! Definitely worse second time around!
