Sharp pain lower abdomen - 6wks

Hi all

Just a bit curious, I've been getting sharp pains in my lower abdomin for the past 2 days which are on and off but can be quite painful and sometimes last about an hour or so. I'm not sure if it's something simple like growing pains, trapped wind or something more serious?

I have no other symptoms with it such as bleeding, back pain, nausea so I've not contacted Dr yet.. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I've not been appointed a midwife yet and haven't seen a healthcare provider at all as you have to wait for booking appt.

You need to see a doctor and get checked out. The symptoms could be something or nothing, impossible to diagnose on an internet forum.

@30mph I will definitely get checked if it carries on. Not looking for a diagnosis, just to see if any women have experienced similar!

I had that with my last pregnancy. The pain would sometimes take my breath away so I was worried. Got checked out and it turned out to be nothing. But definitely better to get checked, for peace of mind :) x

I had sharp stitch like pains on and off and in currently 19 weeks. To the point that if I stand up quickly I get a pain that makes me double over until it goes away...I put it down to stretching/growing pains as I had painful cramps in my first trimester. Never hurts to speak to your midwife
