Haemorrhage - Early pregnancy

After having cramping I booked a scan. I was told I have a haemorrhage in my uterus. Baby is measuring 7+1 with a heartbeat. Have you experienced something similar? What's your story?

Yes I had one. Rested up and took things easy and at my follow up scan 2 weeks later it had been reabsorbed

@Nutellatea that's brilliant news. I'm thinking positive and aiming to rest before my follow up scan too. It's the unknown that's scary isn't it

@overtherainbo definitely! I think take hints easy and I'm sure all will be good Hard not to worry but I think the odds are generally good on haematomas so fingers crossed for you!

I've got the same thing at 6+4. I was told I might get some spotting and to take things easy for a couple of weeks. It's worrying, but I'm trying to trust in the sonographer who seemed really relaxed about it.

@Nutellatea thank you, it's so reassuring. A nervous wait but I'm hoping for the best.

@Scirocco it's so worrying at first. She said how great the baby looked and only mentioned it briefly at the end so I'm hoping that was a good sign. How long do you still have to wait until your next appointment?

@overtherainbo we're a complicated case, so having fortnightly scans at the local hospital - next scan is 10 days from now, which feels sooooo far away!

That was the same for us though, the bleed was just mentioned at the end of the scan. Hoping that's a good sign.

@Scirocco good luck with your scan, I have mine booked for next Sunday but I am debating rescheduling for the week after. I meet my midwife on Friday so I will see what she recommends.

I don't feel so connected with the pregnancy, we have been trying 3 years and I just don't want to get too attached until I know everything is safe and he/she will definitely be sticking around
