Rib and lower back pain - preeclampsia?

Over the past few days I've been experiencing what feels like an intense bruising pain under my ribs and extreme lower back pain.

Is it just my lovely daughter kicking the sh*t out of me or shall I go get checked out?! Midwife wasn't really helpful on the phone she said go to my GP or I could go into the assessment unit if I really wanted to but I would be waiting for ages.

Pain doesn't go away with painkillers or warm bath. I'm 32 weeks x

I had this with my DS. Disappeared after a couple of days and it turned out to be trapped wind Blush but it was the worst pain ever and certainly didn’t feel like wind!

Could be baby's position, had the worse rib pain from 26 weeks ds had his foot firmly placed in my ribs. Is it on the right or left. Does the pain go if u change position ( try siting up with a straight back) if the pain doesn't go away I would give the hospital a call and see what they say. Also with lower back pain keep and eye on ur wee, can be a sign of uti x

It could just be baby giving you a good kick in the ribs. I had terrible rib pain throughout the whole third trimester and it only lessened once baby dropped. I found changing position and sitting up straighter helped with the discomfort.

Been to the hospital to get checked and had a scan cos they couldn't tell which way round she was. Basically her bony butt and legs are sticking in my ribs and she's head down!
