Have any pregnant ladies had covid?

I’m currently waiting for my PCR covid test results after having mild head cold symptoms for a few days plus cough and tight chest. I was thinking it was just a cold to be honest but wanted to test just to double check but today I’ve completely lost my sense of smell. I feel rotten but no worse than a rubbish cold so hopefully it won’t get any worse..I’m 16 weeks pregnant and I’ve had one vaccine over 4 weeks ago.

Feeling a little anxious only because I’m pregnant really..have any other ladies had it and just had mild symptoms / bounced back quite easily?

I tested positive for covid around 13-14 weeks pregnant, I mostly had headaches and generally feeling like I had a cold and lost taste and smell, my baby will be here this week but so far during the pregnancy I've had no complications due to the covid so try not to worry yourself too much I think the only risk when pregnant is having a high temperature otherwise I think your body can fight it off easily and your baby won't be affected

@Jo6545 Hi OP! I tested positive for Covid after 16 weeks, I'm now 36 weeks. I started off with a headache and mild cold-like symptoms. Then progressed to flu, and after about 8 days I lost all taste and smell. That was February, the only impact it's had still is that I have yet to get my taste and smell back 😔 which in the grand scheme of things isn't bad, although I'm missing my favourite foods now!! Baby has been fine though and all my scans and checks have come back fine so no worries here! Take care and hopefully it's a negative result - but please don't panic if it's not Flowers

Thanks @Amy995 and @Shmerlock I’m glad to hear you’re both doing ok now! I wouldn’t worry ordinarily I think when you’re pregnant you just feel extra vulnerable. I have a 17 month old also so I start worrying about looking after her if very unwell (husband ill too but so far both just cold symptoms and cough). That’s crazy that you still don’t have sense of smell and taste back! I’m guessing you guys had this pre vaccine as well given the timescales of them letting pregnant women have it?

@Jo6545 I know, I really thought it would be back by now!! Im a primary teacher and a lot of us that have had it haven't had our smell and taste back unfortunately 😕 I'm holding out hope I'll have reset once baby is here and it'll return!! I've had my first vaccine dose, had it at 32 weeks! Xx
