Very faint positive this morning, period this afternoon

So I wasn’t sure what day my period was due this month, as last month it seemed to go on for 10 days! But if we are going for the usual 4 weeks after the last period, I thought I’d be due on today or tomorrow.
I took a test this morning after just feeling a little “different” and as you can see from the photo, there is an extremely faint line there. But then this afternoon I came onto my period! Not just light spotting either, there’s a proper flow! I’m not really sure how I feel about it, I mean, I don’t even know if I was even pregnant or not?
Just wanted your thoughts really so I can try and get some sense of this.

Just as an update if anyone reads this in the future. I had a light flow yesterday but thought I’d take a test this morning to see if the line was stronger and it was definitely there this time. But as the day has gone on the bleeding has become increasingly heavy and now I’m having really bad period pains. :( I feel a bit sad to be honest but I guess this is what would be classed as a chemical pregnancy.
