Hi all,

I have my first ultrasound at 7 weeks on Tuesday and really scared that I might not see the heartbeat. I had a mmc on January and a chemical pregnancy in March. In Jan, they couldn't see the heartbeat at 8 weeks and had to take the meds to cause an abortion on week 10. I'm really scared that it will be the same this time.

DH is also feeling anxious and it's our 2nd anniversary on the 30th. Mmc was an extremely traumatizing experience for us and I'm so scared to go through it again.

Please don't mind I'm just expressing myself here as I have nowhere else to express my feelings.

Just the anxiety is killing me Sad

@Absy good luck with your 12th week test. When is it?

@MagnoliatheMagnificent it's glad to hear your success story, I think I will feel the same until I can hold the little one.

Mid July and I have a midwife appointment next week. I think it might be too early but maybe at the appointment they would be able to check for the heartbeat? It’s the checking in an appointment, and they didn’t do it last time but it was after the 8 week scan where they had identified that the embryo wasn’t growing and I spent most of the appointment sobbing

@Absy my pregnancy is via IVF as well, it’s so stressful isn’t it?! I’m sure you will be fine this time around, but I know having someone say that won’t make you feel any better. I was wondering if they would check for a heartbeat at the midwife appointment as well but I think it’s still too early to hear it without a TV ultrasound, you never know though! My midwife appointment is a week on Friday and my 12 week scan is end of July so I think we’re pretty similar.

Good luck for this time. Everything will work out to be ok. It's easier said than done but remember your own words, it's a new pregnancy and new beginning.
