36 weeks and have never had braxton hicks

At what stage did people start having braxton hicks? Just curious as people are asking if I've had them yet but nothing at all at the moment? Does everyone get them?

No, not everyone gets them - don't give it a second thought!

I’m on baby number 4, currently 26 weeks and I have never experienced Braxton hicks contractions in any of my pregnancies!

Ah thanks guys! Yes everyone is asking if I have had them yet and a family friend said I should have been getting them by now, people always have something to say though 🙈

I never had them when pregnant with my first DS, this time I've been getting them since about week 20 or so.

Same here. Never ever had them in two pregnancies. The only thing I can think that might be similar is that I would feel an involuntary tightening of my stomach muscles whenever I threw up. No idea if that's the same feeling though!

No never had them with either . Well saying that, I went in for monitoring once and apparently I was having loads but I couldn't feel a thing! So you might be and just not know it!

I had them from about 30 weeks and they got really painful towards the end of the third trimester so you're not missing out! As others have said not everyone gets them, I was the only one in my NCT group that did..

Didn't have them, DD was induced at 38 weeks, born at 38+4.

I didn't have them with my DC1, had them from about 34w with DC2&3.

I never had them either, I only know of a couple people who got them.

I am 35 weeks and when at an appointment yesterday I was on the CTG machine and the midwife said “oh braxton hicks” and I barely felt a thing and not sure I could identify another. Definitely not the kind of feeling I imagine when I think how Rachel on friends went into hospital to be checked out for them.

I’m 40 weeks today and have been getting them on and off for the last 1.5 weeks or so. I think it might be down to not drinking enough water though, as I notice them more when I’m thirsty.

I never had Braxton Hicks with either of mine, don't know anyone who did.

Never had them and I made it to 42 weeks and nearly 42 weeks with both babies.
Also no mucus plug or water breaking. I just had contractions starting and then it was labour
