37+4 knickers wet and smells funny?

Hi. Sorry for the TMI 😂 earlier I was sat in the car for an hour and needed a wee (only slightly) got up and felt something come out, only a tiny bit but it smells sweet/cheesy? Gross I know! I went to the toilet and did have a wee but I'm not sure what it was? Haven't lost my mucus plug at all so surely can't be leaking amniotic fluid? Even so... anyone had this before?😂🤢

To the maternity unit - it does sound like waters I’m afraid. Is your bag packed?

Call up the pregnancy unit and get assessed.

Yes definitely. If you’ve had a small rupture there’s a chance of infection. Take yesterday’s pants with you - they’ll want to sniff them (!)

How did you get in OP?

Definitely sounds like leaking fluid and you may need to be monitored.

Could well be leaking. You should get checked.

My midwife told me that if the fluid smells like semen (!) then yes it is - always best get checked just in case. Good luck x
