Painful movements at 23 weeks

Hi,

I am 23 weeks pregnant with my third child.

I should be an old pro at this by now but I’m having a bit of a different experience with this one.

I felt it kicking from very early on and now you can visibly see the kicks and if things are resting on my bump they can be kicked off!

On occasion, the baby pushes upward as if it’s trying to push its way out of my skin. I can actually feel the hard mass where the baby is and along its spine.

I had this with my other pregnancies but just much, much later. Today I felt what was either its bum or its head very clearly.

Has anyone else had such these kinds of experiences so early? I’m guessing it’s nothing to be concerned about but I’m a little worried about the lack of protection when it is so close to the surface with it still being so tiny.

Thanks all!
