5 weeks and loss of symptoms

Hello!
I got a bfp 11 days ago and felt queasy, tired and had sore boobs last week. I also had some light cramping too.

For a few days, however, I've had no symptoms and I feel normal.

Having previously had a miscarriage at 4 weeks, I am a bit worried that the lack of symptoms means it will happen again. I have an early scan in 10 days at the epu which seems so far away.

Has anyone experienced this loss of symptoms and what was the outcome? Many thanks

Hello, I also experienced a loss of symptoms and was worried due to a previous miscarriage. I went for an early scan and all was confirmed as going well, I am now 17 weeks pregnant :)

When I did call the midwife, they advised doing some pregnancy tests to monitor. It is quite normal for symptoms to come and go but I understand how worrying it can be!

Hello. Thank you for sharing and congratulations! It's tough going, isn't it.

Hey! I’m 6 + 4 and have had fluctuating symptoms (even from hour to hour). I spoke with my midwife yesterday to arrange booking in etc and she said that symptoms can be so different for everyone. She said that some people can be really lucky and not have any, some (like me!) can have intermittent symptoms, and some people can feel like death none stop! She said there’s no real cause for concern unless there’s severe pain and/or bleeding and that additional scans wouldn’t be offered just based on change in symptoms. I’m not a fan of testing continuously (as suggested in pp) as things change and there’s the “hook effect” which could cause unnecessary stress IMO. Take each day as it comes, enjoy the moments of symptom relief & look after yourself (that’s all we can do). I hope that’s of some help!

Symptoms are different for everyone, symptom spotting will only cause you stress and anxiety. My symptoms started and stopped at 7 weeks, I'm 24 weeks now and happily have had zero symptoms since then.
