Is anyone else suffering with this? I’ve been out in the sun last week and my freckles have gone crazy but now above my upper lip looks like it’s gone into one giant freckle and I look like I have a moustache 😩

Make up makes it look worse as it turns it more grey looking, I know it’s silly but it’s really getting me down as I’m already feeling self conscious over my appearance.

Hi, yes I had this a long time ago. It will improve after pregnancy but you may experience ongoing pigmentation problems. Best to avoid the sun on your face and try Ultrasun Spf 50 anti pigmentation.

Sali Hughes, the beauty writer, suffers with this and it got worse during her pregnancy. If you Google her and melasma she has some recommendations.

Yes but I developed it post pregnancy, while breastfeeding. It got me down too but now I make sure I put factor 50 on before going out and when I catch a glimpse of it, it reminds me how well my body is doing this amazing thing.

I got it too! I found "Fade Out" at Boots - they have a day cream and night cream, and its really helped. Good luck xx

Ds is 2 and I've still got mine! I quite like it though!
