Hello everyone I had a 25 week scan check up to check the growth of our baby boy as his head and stomach were slightly on the larger side and wanted to do a check up on growth. The reaction was he's growing well but we are having a big baby was her reaction 🤰🏻🤭 I wasn't quite sure how to take it being my first I am now being tested for diabetes too as his stomach is still slightly on the larger side which tells them I could have diabetes has anyone else experienced This at 25 weeks? 👶

I wouldn't worry too much. Not allbig babies are caused by GD. If you do have it you will be referred to the GD clinic and they will help you control it.

Slightly later on... our 2nd everyone in our area was offered the GTT and I had that at 16wk with normal results. At 28wk he was scanned and 4wk ahead on growth so they sent me for another GTT which was also normal. He was a big baby at 10lb 12oz, singleton and twins that followed him have all been big too with no GD. Current baby is growing very well, GTT normal and I'm having a growth scan next week to see how big she is compared to the others. I just grow them big, funny because our 1st was a very average size.

no personal experience here but i've heard from many people where they've been informed baby is big but baby is normal weight when born. DW

Yes I had testing for GD with both pregnancies as they both measured big. Didn't have GD either time thankfully but did have big healthy babies!

On the flip side, I did have GD and whilst it's not what you want there is support and it's better to know.
