How big was your baby?

Just out of curiosity if your baby was estimated at 5lb at 32 weeks how big were they when they were born? Im 37 weeks and keep getting told im big and sent of scans they keep thinking it's fluid but it's not they aren't thinking baby will be big but at 5lb at 32 weeks seems a little big? My other 2 children were both 9 days late and weighed 7lb 8 and 7lb 13 I'm wondering if I'm measuring big because baby is big? 🤷‍♀️

They estimated that my baby would be 7-8lbs, and this was the same for my friend's baby. My DD was 10lbs 12oz and my friend's DD was literally half the size at 5lbs 6oz. Apparently there is a 3lbs margin of error either way so not sure how much use the estimates are.

Ohhh it's strange isn't it when I had my other 2 I don't remember them estimating their weight apart from they said my 2nd daughter would be small because of my hypothyroidism and she was 7lb 8oz which is average

I measured big and my DS turned out to be 6lb 6oz🤷‍♀️

Our twins were estimated at 5lb each at 32+5wk, born bang on 38wk 8lb 5oz & 8lb 11oz.
Our others were 7lb 7oz @ 39+6, 10lb 12oz @ 40+5 & 9lb 10oz @ 40+2. I'm interested to see how this little lady will compare at a growth scan next week, I'll be 31+6wk then.
I had natural unassisted deliveries with the biggest singletons, don't be too scared of a big one.

At 37+6 born my baby was 5lb 7oz.
Have you been tested for gestational diabetes?

Yes got tested for Gd and was all fine

9lb 11oz and was a bit of an ouch! Although they had never mentioned that he would be big, but then he was overdue by nearly a month - that is a whole 'nother story

My baby was born at 32 weeks and 3lb9.

Estimated 5lb8oz at 33 weeks
Born 9lb1oz at 40+5

I was borderline GD. They said I wasn't but I was right on the edge and so I followed the diet, but couldn't test if it was actually working or not 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was sent for growth scans at 32 and 38 weeks because I was measuring small. He was born at 40 weeks and was 9.5 lbs!

Oh wow that's a really good size! I always get told because of my hypothyroidism that I won't have a big baby and my other 2 were average so i was shocked when they said he was 5lb at 32 weeks

DC4 was estimated to already be at 9lb at 37wks. So based on the 1/2lb a week growth, would he have been estimated at about 6lb7 at 32wks. Its probably not as simple maths as that but that's the best comparison I can think of.

He was induced at 40wks because I always go overdue and if left to his/my own devices they predicted him to be over 5KG or 11lb.

He was a mere 9lb5 when he was born. Very long limbed. So a good 1lb less than they had predicted and not my biggest.

Oh and I measured 2.5wks ahead from 28wks.

Dc1-3 they didn't estimate or do routine growth scans.

Dc5 (40+2 today) was estimated to be 6lb9 at 36wks, which is supposedly average according to sonographer but again with 5wks extra growth she will be just over 9lb at 41wks i reckon.

Measured bang on average all the way through. Born at 40+2 weighing 11lb 7oz (in the pool just G&A)

Mine was estimated at a little over 5lbs at 34 weeks, and was a little over 10lbs born at 40+5

DD at 32 weeks was estimated at 5 and a half lbs so was expecting her to be massive, she was born at 40+6 weighing 7lbs 2oz

34+2 estimated 5lbs born 4lb 11oz
Estimated 7lb at 36 weeks born 37+3 5lb 10oz
Estimated 8lbs at 37 weeks born 39+2 6lb

Measured at 9lb 10oz on due date and popped out 5 days later at 11lb 11oz 😳. Just had gas and air!

All three of mine were born on 37 weeks exactly and as estimated weights of 3.1 kg, 2.3 kg and 2.7 kg.
