Forgotten what happens with dating after 12 week scan

After your 12 week scan do medical professionals refer to your dates in terms of the revised date from the scan or do they keep using the calendar dates based on your last period, whilst knowing that your due date is likely a bit different?

So, if you go into a scan at 13 weeks by your calendar dates and find out you’re 12+5 is that what you now say when anyone asks how pregnant you are (anyone medical I mean)?

@ActonBell pretty sure it's by the dates from the scan. The 12wk scan is called a dating scan and from them on your edd will be whatever they tell you at the scan.

They go by your scan date and updated due date. Or mine do anyway, so presume it’s the same everywhere.

My due date changed when I was my 12 week scan.
It’s only ever by a couple of days.

Great - yes, of course they do. I just had a wobble where I couldn’t remember and suddenly thought I might have misunderstood. Scanxiety messing with my head!

Yeah they change them but in my experience if there's a query over a couple of days they don't bother.

Definitely use the scan date.
