At what stage did you feel flutters/movement & what did they feel like?

18 weeks. Literally just little jabs and then sometimes a feeling like a tennis ball rolling inside me! I could go days without feeling her after that - it's sporadic at that point of the pregnancy.

sarah13xx · 10/06/2021 08:56

One proper big kick at 19 weeks then nothing for another week then started to feel kicks. Probably felt something before then but could never say for definite it was baby

romdowa · 10/06/2021 08:57

I'm quite weeks and over the last few weeks I've felt a few bubbles but nothing consistent.

CagneyNYPD · 10/06/2021 08:58

21 weeks. I bent over and then felt a strange sensation. I felt like the baby was blowing bubbles in fluid. 14 years ago now and still remember it vividly.

Edelweiss2020 · 10/06/2021 09:05

Felt definite kicks at 19 weeks, a few potential movements from 18 weeks but nothing definite until 19 :)

Thefaceofboe · 10/06/2021 09:06

16 weeks which really shocked me, but only very gentle flutters. Started feeling properly about a week later and then full on kicks at 18 weeks :) they weren’t continuous till about 20 weeks though

Amz6219 · 10/06/2021 10:06

I felt my first at around 14/15 weeks like wind/bubbles, but think this is unusually early and he was massive!

This pregnancy didn't feel anything until around 18 weeks, but was still unsure if definite baby or if it was digestive, then really definite kicks around 20 weeks where my husband could feel on the outside too x

Chanel05 · 10/06/2021 10:19

17 weeks. Just tiny pops.

Landslidelife · 10/06/2021 10:51

18 weeks, inconsistent for a few weeks. Felt like butterflies.

BumpLoading · 10/06/2021 10:53

Felt a definite kick at 18 weeks but a bit of a bubble feeling for a week or two before then, I didnt know if it was the baby or if I was gassy but was definitely the baby!

Sunflowerx · 10/06/2021 11:04

I'm 22 weeks and have been feeling little flutters/bubbles for the past couple of weeks! My partner got to feel a kick last week but not had anymore but I think that's to do with me carrying a lot of weight!

Miljea · 10/06/2021 11:14

18 weeks. It was an odd idea to get my head around.

But I recall how I smiled at thinking it odd and a bit weird as I reached term and casually had to often rearrange myself as this fully formed human being inside me decided to have a stretch! 😂

Iris2020 · 10/06/2021 11:17

The first proper flutter at 17 weeks, but retrospectively I suspect things I'd been feeling before were movements.
Since then the movements have been steadily growing and now at 20 weeks I get a lot of kicks!

Dyra · 10/06/2021 11:20

About 17 weeks. Just little bubbles and flutters at that point. Very sporadic after that until after 21-22 weeks. Then she didn't stop moving...

MrsB2019x · 10/06/2021 12:47

About 17 weeks, just felt like tiny taps

notalwaysalondoner · 10/06/2021 13:33

18 weeks. My DH could also feel it from the outside at that point as well. It didn't really get into a pattern for several weeks after that. Now I'm 33 weeks and can't believe how much it wriggles!

MeadowHay · 10/06/2021 17:11

Yes like PP above I was sure about 18 weeks and DH was able to feel the bigger movements on the outside by then too. I had been feeling them a bit earlier than that but wasn't sure until I asked DH to feel and he got a right shock and confirmed it was definitely a baby and not wind Grin. I was very thin though as I was fairly slim prior to pregnancy and then lost a significant amount of weight from HG, so that will have meant it was easier to feel earlier.

JackJack84 · 10/06/2021 17:19

Thanks everyone for the responses! I'm 17 weeks tomorrow so maybe in the next few weeks I'll feel something. I am overweight though so I'm aware it may take longer.

It's crazy cos every scan I've had baby is jumping around like mad, feels so weird that it's all going on inside me & I can't feel a thing 😂

Between 15-16 weeks. Felt like flutters, like when your tummy drops going over a hill. I have a posterior placenta

llol031 · 10/06/2021 17:26

I’m 18 nearly 19 weeks with first pregnancy and think I may have felt something once but not sure

I’m really quite anxious about it but also trying to take the advice of my midwife who suggested for first timers it could be anything around the 20 week mark and it was only a concern if I hadn’t felt anything from 24 weeks onwards

Still just want them to kick or do something though asap 🤣

Moonshine11 · 10/06/2021 17:28

22 weeks anterior placenta

Peach01 · 10/06/2021 17:34

Maybe 18/19 weeks I think

Chelyanne · 10/06/2021 17:50

Around 20wk, was only certain because they could be felt on the outside too. So easy to mistake them for gut movements with the 1st. All our others I could feel from 11/12 weeks, even current with my 1st anterior placenta.

mooloop · 10/06/2021 18:18

Between 16-17 weeks, but just little pops/twitches a couple of times a day. Coming up to 20w now and feels much stronger and more frequent Smile

TheMotherlode · 10/06/2021 18:32

Can’t remember exactly but definitely after 20 weeks because I remember being amazed at the 20 week scan that she was moving around so much and I couldn’t feel anything. Probably around 22 weeks (not anterior placenta).
I also don’t remember really feeling ‘flutters’, maybe I just wasn’t picking up on the little movements as by the time I could feel anything it felt quite clearly like kicks and baby just generally moving around.

Same with 2nd pregnancy but started feeling it earlier this time, around 18 weeks.
