I know I know... its one of those posts. And its my third so you'd think I'd know better.
I'm 34 + 4.
I have been having cramps for about a week now. Nothing with any frequency, very much like period pains, lower bump and round my back and not unusual for me to cramp in pregnancy. Kept an eye on them but absolutely nothing to time and then passed.
For the last hour or so I've had constant cramp like pain and a very tight bump. Not coming and going in waves, not timable, no peaks. Doesn't feel like labour. I would rate rhem as highly uncomfortable, a bit painful (very painful in terms of period pains, not very painful in terms of labour contractions). What's particularly odd is that it feels like my whole bump is involved, its quite hard and the sides feel like they are tightening.
I haven't had any bleeding, no signs of waters. I have had tiny bits of plug but clear and again not unusal for me and really not enough to worry about.
I am going to have a shower or bath and see if that eases them up and I will call triage if they get worse or even don't settle down a bit. But can anyone who's experienced this tell me if continuous cramps be a sign of labour.
(I'm a 2 hour round trip to the hospital and have 2 very small DCs and I know triage air on the side of caution so I'd rather avoid an unnecessary trip to be told BH if possible).
Thanks.
