Sweaty crotch (sorry - I swear I'm not a troll...!)

Anyone else having this issue?! I would say I'm quite a sweaty person in general but this is something else now in the hot weather...! I remember using some kind of extreme antiperspirant thing years ago when I had excessive sweating as a medication side effect but not sure if you can use that in pregnancy?? Otherwise, can anyone recommend any sweat wicking or very breathable underwear?! I did my first pregnancy exercise class yesterday and oh my god good job it was via zoom that's all I will say, I was horrified! Interestingly I don't remember having this problem in my last pregnancy and I was more heavily pregnant then at this time of year too but admittedly I weighed less which I imagine may have something to do with it too. Anyway, help an embarrassed lady out please!

I spray with Sure antiperspirant, hubby finds it hilarious.
Stick to 100% cotton underwear.
Less hair helps too, not the easiest place to groom when pregnant though lol.

As talc is not safe to use, I’ve previously used potato starch. Not as effective but pretty good on the whole. I’d be weary of spraying there anything and when I used once a roll on deodorant I got outbreaks there 😒

If anyone can recommend sweat sucking underwear I’m all ears. Would period pants work?!

BadgertheBodger · 08/06/2021 18:03

Modibodi do these which are pretty good www.modibodi.co.uk/collections/moisture-wicking/products/active-brief-moisture-wicking

As a thought, perhaps those ‘period’ pants would work well?! Primark have there own range from about £6 per pair of pants I think 😀

HighlandCowbag · 08/06/2021 18:46

It's very annoying and I'm not even pregnant. I use roll on deodorant but it doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Want to google sweaty crotch but darent. I think mine is hormonal, I'm 43 but am also fat so may be that. Its rubbish tho.

Period pants make you sweat more the only saving grace is it absorbs it too

HumunaHey · 08/06/2021 18:54

How far gone are you? Like a PP said, defuzzing down there would definitely help.

Mumoftwo2021 · 08/06/2021 18:56

Is talc not advised? 😳 I’ve been using it through the whole pregnancy 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ X

I'm about 23 weeks but have a massive bump already, I was still tiny at this stage last time. I keep downstairs tidy and short, not willing to do more than that for various reasons. I have Modibodi period pants but I agree they actually make you more sweaty as they're so thick, but I could look into those special sweat wicking ones. I basically always wear a liner though too because of the random huge amounts of discharge I get as well so that won't be helping either but then the alternative is random soakings and discomfort from that eek. (Can you tell I loathe pregnancy?!)
