Covid jab around due date?

I got my appointment for the covid jab which is scheduled for one day after my due date. Originally I was going to try to delay it (had to put off doing that as there were no slots to change to) but now the appointment is just two days away and I'm pretty sure the baby is going to be a least a week late.

I'm wondering if I should just go ahead with it?

It’s completely your choice and would probably chat about with your midwife.

From my personal experience, if my 2nd jab came close to my due date I would reschedule as after my 1st I felt rotten and wouldn’t want to feel like that if baby came.

Having mine today at 39+3.
First dose.

I'd wait till baby is born

I'd go ahead and have the jab, the sooner you start getting some protection the better with covid cases on the rise again

The least worst that might happen is that your arm will hurt a few days after, I know some people who got feverish for 24-48 hours post vaccine. I wouldn't take the risk and reschedule post birth, should you go into labor the next day wouldn't you want to be on top from and physically prepared?

Thanks for the replies. I decided to postpone and have rebooked it for a few weeks away. I thought although I feel it's unlikely to come this week it's better just to leave it. I wouldn't want to feel rubbish and then start to go into labour or to confuse symptoms and pains for one thing or the other.
