19 wks obstetrics telephone appointment???

Hiya, I am currently 13+5 and have had my 12 wk scan (amazing and was told all ok) I'm just awaiting results of my blood tests (which I was told will take up to 2 weeks and will be posted if all ok, or if there are any problems I will receive a call from my midwife.)
I have my 20 wk scan booked for 21st July. But I received a letter this week confirming a telephone appointment with Obstetrics when I will be 19 wks - does anyone know why this would be?? I just cant think what they would need to do over the phone, surely any necessary appts would be in person? A few friends are expecting and have not had this, and I have not been advised of anything by my MW. Anyone know what this is for - should I be worried?
I imagine if it was for the test results they would just call, and wouldn't leave it that long.

TIA xx

Is it your first? Sometimes it’s because you’ve had a c section before/traumatic birth.

Yes my first x

Do you have any medical conditions or a high BMI? They would usually then refer you to a consultant to discuss any possible issues

I’m currently only 9weeks but I was told by midwife at booking in app that some appointments will be over phone, apart from 12week and 20 week scan I won’t see a midwife in person until after the 20week scan. She specifically said the 16week one would be over the phone- I’m assuming that’s similar to yours.

No medical conditions, I have a history of depression/anxiety but would have thought anything re. that would be discussed with MW or GP and I haven't raised any concerns. They consider me a 'smoker' as pregnancy was a surprise - I quit the second I found out at 4 weeks. My MW is coming over for my 16 wk appt so it's not for that. Very confused! 😂

Sounds strange, I would call your midwife and double check with her.

It could be to do with anything, l believe usually you see a consultant/obs if you have something that has come up in your booking/pregnancy that means you might need extra support. But I know you also see obs if you are wanting a planned c-section (but I guess that’s too early for you to be thinking about anyway!)

It could be anything even a patient mix up or maybe it’s just normal in your area

If you have a nice midwife, they honestly don’t mind you phoning. My midwife said I’d be seeing a consultant after the 20 week scan for a pre-existing condition I had. I got a letter at 13 weeks so panicked it was something wrong with my blood work and they pushed it forward early. Called my midwife and turns out they were just really quick on the ball with appointments!!

Hope you manage to find out what it’s for so you can put your mind at ease :)

I had this and it was the MH thing.

Do you take any medication?
