Nursery visits questions to ask

I couldn't decide which thread would be most suitable to post this on so apologies if this isn't suitable.

I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant and looking into nurseries for my unborn son. I live in a small town and don't drive due to health reasons so I want to be organised in case places book up. Has anyone else looked at nursery places for their unborn child yet and if so what sort of questions have you asked the staff when visiting?

How do they communicate or give a "handover". Most nurseries use an app which will tell you details throughout the day. Unfortunately my nursery doesn't do this, and therefore I have no idea what my son does for 10 hours of a day. When I have asked, they claim they don't have the time (but have the time to write out "naughty reports" for when my son is "naughty).

Check their site, call or email. Visit in person as well to see what happens daily.
