Haven't felt baby last few days 15wks

I am 15weeks4days today. I've been feeling baby move since 14weeks6days

But today and yesterday I haven't felt baby move at all. I've tried laying in different positions and rubbing my tummy but I can't feel anything and I'm really really worried!
This is my first pregnancy that's lived passed 7weeks so I'm paranoid something has gone wrong!

Any tips or advice?
Is this normal??

At that stage it’s normal.

longtimelurkerfirsttimeposter · 04/06/2021 12:14

I would contact your midwife

longtimelurkerfirsttimeposter · 04/06/2021 12:14

Just for some reassurance

alexio · 04/06/2021 12:14

Normal at this stage to not feel regular movement but if you are concerned give your midwife a call for reassurance

SweetSunflowerBoo · 04/06/2021 12:15

My midwife doesn't ever respond to me. I messaged her over a month ago and am STILL waiting for a response. She is terrible. And rude.

Drink Iced water? That's the first thing midwives try.

SinkGirl · 04/06/2021 12:16

I would call your midwife for a chat and some reassurance. Many women don’t feel any movements at all yet so I’m sure they’ll say this is very normal as movements at this stage are so slight, but given your history your worries are understandable and I’m sure you’d feel better for having a chat and seeing if they want to check you over.

Jeds55 · 04/06/2021 12:29

Hi @SweetSunflowerBoo I'm in a very similar boat. 15+5 today. Thought I could feel slight movements every day for about a week but nothing now for a week. I keep telling myself is very early days so trying not to stress but have had 4 mc so understandably anxious.
I was going to ride it out until 16 week appt (annoyingly not until I'm almost 17 weeks) but heard they don't listen to hb at them anymore? Have booked a scan for next Weds instead. We want to know the sex so using that to justify it but I need reassuring!

Chelyanne · 04/06/2021 12:30

Not much your midwife will do atm even if you report it. The maternity assessment until don't usually have you in for reduced movement before 24 weeks.

It's very normal at your stage, baby is still so small they can easily get in to positions where you feel little to nothing.
I remember movements being few and far between at your stage too which was different to our others, found out at my anomaly scan that I have my 1st anterior placenta and that explained it. Now my whole belly jumps about when she's having a wriggle around, 29+4wk.

Rosieposy89 · 04/06/2021 12:31

I am 24+4 wirh my first. I felt baby move at 15 weeks, I would say I didn't feel daily movement until 19-20 weeks. I have posterior fundal placenta so there is nothing to cushion movement. Always ring midwife if you're worried but at this stage they have a lot of room to move and they're so small you won't feel them as much

Chelyanne · 04/06/2021 12:32

Oh and I've had several mc's so totally get how worrying it is.

Jeds55 · 04/06/2021 12:32

To add.. with dd had a placenta ar front so could feel really unfrequesnt movements (even later on) but this time is posterior so expected to feel more. Is yours at front maybe so masking the movements when the baby behind it? It is very early days for us both though

SweetSunflowerBoo · 04/06/2021 12:51

I'm not sure where my placenta is

I have a scan on the 8th for gender reveal so I haven't got long to see if baby is okay but I'm such a worry pot

I wouldn’t expect routine movements at this stage op.
I would try some ice cold water and I used to have to lie on my left side to get a kick.
Ring your GP to get a midwife to ring you and explain you haven’t heard back from a month ago. Youll hopefully will get a nice one who will put your mind at ease.

andivfmakes3 · 04/06/2021 13:32

15 weeks is far far too early. Especially in a first pregnancy.....a pattern can't generally be established until 28 weeks

I wouldn't bother your midwife with this one at this stage

Lockdownlifting12344555 · 04/06/2021 13:34

At my 20 week scan they said at tht point you should feel daily movement… I didn’t until around 23 weeks….

Honestly I’d just get on with things and wait for the next scan…. Try not to think about it

Vallmo47 · 04/06/2021 13:46

I’m sorry you’re so worried. Just another one to chime in and say it’s very early days, I didn’t feel movement at this stage (twice!) so just hang in there and in just a few days you get to see baby. 👶💗 Good luck!

SweetSunflowerBoo · 04/06/2021 14:19

Thank you all for the reassurance! Just what I needed to be honest!

💓thank you all for being kind and helpful x

I first felt my baby move at 15+6 weeks for a few days, then felt absolutely nothing for 12 days. Midwife said it was normal, the baby is so tiny still with many places to hide and movements can be few and far between! I’m 26 weeks now and baby is kicking away!

SweetSunflowerBoo · 08/06/2021 01:38

Well- I had nothing to worry about 😂 little one is going absolutely crazy tonight!!! Keeping me awake 😅

Ah! Glad to read your update! Hope you get some sleep soon Smile

custardbear · 08/06/2021 08:30

Pleased for your update - the baby is very small still and will
Move around. I remember feeling so much at 15+1 with my second - fir 3-4 days then nothing for a few weeks - he's just shifted around and wasn't in the right place foe me to feel that's all
Enjoy your gender scan today

IndigoNC · 08/06/2021 08:37

Glad all is ok! I had this at 22 weeks (anterior placenta) and even at that stage they weren't worried because the baby is still so small
