DH is a couple of years older than me, if that affects things! Smile

Hi @NowOrNeverTTC. I'm pregnant with my first. I'm 39 and my husband was 41 when we conceived, in our 3rd month of trying. Baby is due 3.5 weeks before my 40th birthday!

I'm 39 and so is dh. Took 3 months to fall pregnant. This is our third. Big age gaps though and first two we fell pregnant straight away.

I’m 38, will be 39 when baby is born.

It’s not my first, it’s actually baby number 4. My youngest child is 6.5 years old now though and this baby is my first with my current partner.

I came off the pill and we started ttc in September 2019. Over the next 12 months I had 4 miscarriages.

I’m now currently 24 weeks pregnant. So from coming off the pill it actually ended up taking us 15 months which I hadn’t expected as I’d conceived within 2 months each time with my 3 children.

My oh is 8 years younger than me, but I honestly believe it took longer this time down to my age and the fact my eggs were just older and it was a case of waiting for that right, healthy egg.

Good luck!

I’m 38, we started trying January 2020, stopped for a while during covid because that was all too scary, then started again August 2020. We conceived October 2020 and I’m now 34 weeks.

First month

5 months. 39 with my DH a few years older. We conceived the first months we used the ovulation tests - it transpired my fertile day was a few days later in the cycle than what we'd anticipated, so I'm not sure if we would have conceived sooner if we'd known.

A year

Em39ma · 04/06/2021 20:47

I fell without trying, was on the pill at 39. I unfortunately miscarried.
I then fell again3 months later at 40. Dd is now 20mths.
I fell again last year after 3 months of trying, but again I unfortunately miscarried. We started trying again straight away and it’s taken me 8 months to fall this time. I’m 11 weeks pregnant at the moment and 42.

3 months at 39/nearly 40

FirstTimeScared · 05/06/2021 00:34

I'm 37, currently 30 weeks with my 1st. Had a mc in August 2019 (never fallen pregnant as far as I'm aware before) and then this one 14/15 months later and seems to be sticking. My husband has 3 children from 2 previous relationships and is 48
