Stomach sleeping in pregnancy?

Does anyone know if this is OK or not? The internet is maddeningly unclear, as was my midwife.

I’m 25 weeks and still find the most comfortable position is on my front with some propping up on one side or the other. But I keep panicking that I am squashing the baby, and that I might end up with the same blood flow risk as with back sleeping (I found one result online which mentioned this).

Any thoughts welcome, thank you!

I’ve no idea, but I’m 24 weeks and often find myself waking up on my front.

I have a pretty significant bump but somehow with one leg bent it sort of props me to the side slightly which makes room for bump.

But like you I also panic I will be squashing the baby!

I was sleeping on my front until I physically couldn’t anymore, must have been about 20-something weeks. If it’s still comfy, it’s fine. Just try to avoid sleeping on your back.

You're fine on your front until it's actually not really possible to get there.
Later on you're advised to sleep on your left side and can be worth getting used to it if you're not a natural side sleeper but if you can get on your tummy, you won't do any harm.

I slept on my front until it was too uncomfortable to do so, about 27 weeks

I sleep on my front /side as well as I find it most comfy. I think it's ok. From what I've read the only dangers come from sleeping and laying on your back for too long

I'm interested in this! All the articles say "by the third semester you will be too uncomfortable to sleep on your front" which is rubbish and totally avoiding the question.

I naturally sleep on my front and really struggle with side positions which I find tremendously uncomfortable, so if I'm not sleeping on my front it's my back. I bought one of those giant pregnancy pillows that prevent you from turning on your back but as a result neither my husband or I are getting a decent night's sleep.

Wow how are you managing to sleep on your front? I’m 23 weeks and can’t manage it, I can barely sleep at all in any position as I’m so uncomfortable. From the advice I’ve read sleeping on your side is better x

I'm 35 weeks with a big bump and I still manage to sleep on my front/side propped up with pillows. It's the most comfortable for me! I was told front is fine as they have loads of amniotic fluid protecting them.

I'm a lifelong front sleeper. When I was pg I was told it's totally fine until it's too uncomfortable for me
