Hi all,

I hope someone can help because I can’t find anything anywhere
I woke up tonight to use the loo and I had a really bad sharp pain in the left side of my back (between ribs and hips) and then it wore off and I just had back ache in the middle. This was at about 1am it’s now 3:22 and the same thing had happened again a sharp pain in my left side and now it’s subsided just a dull back ache (in the middle and up top it moves) I’m 38 + 5 has anyone else experienced this is this start of labour or just normal?

Any help is appreciated Thankyou ;)

I was induced so didn’t have natural onset contractions but that does sound like the start of labour.

How exciting!

Sounds like you're going in to labour to me! Good luck. Very exciting!

Sorry I can't help, but just wanted to say that i am 37 weeks and have been experiencing similar types of aches and pains on right side which turn to dull ache. Had this for about 2 weeks.

Any update OP?

Update is DRUMROLL PLEASE…

…. Still no baby
But I’ve had the same feelings on and off since posting but now the heavy feeling I get when I walk is getting more persistent. But I still have the back pain the twinges and cramps.

Getting more fed up as the days go on and the sleepless nights are making me extra grumpy
