6+1 and think I'm starting a miscarriage

Just need a handhold really. This is my third one- others I 2017 and 2019. So take us ages to conceive. No babies yet. No identifiable cause for them.

Woke up with a sore tummy and brown discharge when I wipe. Last one was a missed miscarriage and the first one I didn't know I was pregnant so just seemed like a heavy period.

I'm 41 now abs under consultant for fertility problems and miscarriage. We have our appointment Wednesday where we were going to be referred for IVF. I have a a scan booked for Friday at EPU. I was supposed to be prescribe progesterone but it wasn't in my notes so they couldn't give it to me.

I think this is the last time it try as I cannot handle the hope and emotional pain.

Thinking of you OP and hoping it was a false alarm. I had progesterone in this pregnancy due to miscarriages. Hope you get some answers on Friday

@Jeds55 thank you.

It's been a funny old day. Tried to get a scan today but not possible - look like the private clinics are shut for half term.

GP practice has done a B-HCG blood test Which is great as they squeezed me in. Had some last week two. I'm still crampy and bleeding so I am pretty convinced given my history that I have lost this pregnancy. Hopefully it it's quick. Will have to ask some difficult questions at the clinic tomorrow.

@Cherrypiepie I am in the same position - 6+1 and cramping and bleeding. I just wish it would happen more quickly if it is going to happen, as it's so awful sitting around and wondering.

cherrypiepie · 06/06/2021 08:56

@ImmyMc how are you feeling. Have you had a scan. Mine was Dating a week behind and hcg levels slow rise.

So we have to wait 11 days and have a rescan.

I'm not hopeful at all. Symptoms not gone totally but bloating gone (lost 4lbs) and others decreased.

@cherrypiepie, no, no scan yet. I have to wait for another 10 days, which is really frustrating. I'm not sure what to think. Still have spotting and a bit of cramping, though it is a bit less. My breasts feel sorer, though, so I am really not sure what is going on.

I'm so sorry to hear yours was dating a week behind. Did they give you any odds?

cherrypiepie · 06/06/2021 16:46

@ImmyMc no odds or anything but not feeling optimistic (quietly holding on to a minuscule chance my dates are wrong) and like you still bit crampy gurgle and spotty but nothing bad.

I think the hcg level is what has convinced me all is not well.

I hope you get a scan soon it's very frustrating they wouldn't see you - it was like that last time for me. Everyone else on here seems to get a scan the day they call up (or it seems that way-I'm just jealous!). I got a scan this time as my consultant had it in my notes that I was entitled to an early scan. Otherwise I think I would be in the same situation as you.

Sending hope

@cherrypiepie How are you getting on?

cherrypiepie · 15/06/2021 19:19

@ImmyMc how are you too.

had another scan today and it's still far to small for 8weeks but as there has been growth but not big enough to see a clear fetal pole or heartbeat, I have to go back In a week.

They can't diagnose a miscarriage as they have strict criteria that I don't meet and it's all "inconclusive". If I go back next week I will see consultant if there is still some changes and I can have surgery the same day. ( I had a haemorrhage last time)

I "know" that it will be an inevitable miscarriage so I just have to wait now. Least I have surgery "booked" for next week.

Thinking of you OP it's an awful thing to go through.
