Thought I was pregnant

So during the tww I had very strong symptoms, sore breasts, a lot of Nausea, strong sense of smell and insomnia. I was also 3 days late and then started spotting. I was spotting for 1 day and then it become heavier and was very red, there wasn’t as much blood as I usually get but more than just spotting. This bleeding lasted 2 days and then spotting for 1 day and now nothing. I took 3 pregnancy tests and they’re all negative. My symptoms have all stopped but my period was extremely short and this has never happened to
Me before and I’m 24. I was convinced I was pregnant but clearly not as the tests come back negative - I did test whilst I was bleeding but my symptoms have all pretty much stopped so I’m just worried as to why my period is randomly so short and light? Usually my periods lasts 5 days and I have 3 days of very heavy flow. Can anyone give me any advice?

Are you ttc? Sometimes we can drive ourselves crazy symptom spotting, and differences we wouldn't normally notice are more obvious.

If the pregnancy tests have been negative and the symptoms have stopped I'd say likely it's just a different cycle

This happened to be multiple times over the 3 years it took us to conceive, I think it was in my head because I wanted it SO badly. Turns out when I actually fell pregnant in January I had 0 symptoms till my period was about 3 weeks late.

I thought so, I’m not actively trying to conceive but if it happens it happens sort of thing. I’m just worried about my period being 3 days late and then 2 days long and extremely late - do you think I should maybe get it checked out at all?

What would you be looking to check? 3 days definitely isn't extreme, it's more like a fluctuation. Don't think a GP would be looking to check anything tbh x

This happened to me, I had a 2 day ‘period’ and then got a very strong positive a few days after. I didn’t have any negative tests though.

This happened to me - 5 days late, then a short 2 day period ( normally bang on time or early and periods are at least 5 days.)
All tests were negative.
The month I actually conceived. Had a MC since but it's made me reevaluate everything I knew about my cycle. We know we don't always ovulate on the same day every month so I don't think having a slightly longer cycle or shorter period is anything major, if it happens a lot more then keep track of it all and go to GP x good luck

Did you happen to have the vaccine recently? There is increasing evidence it does disrupt periods in certain women for a short while.
