Early pregnancy but no discharge?!

I’m currently 14 days late. And just about to buy a test now.... but before I did I wanted to know if you HAVEEEE to get watery discharge as soon as your pregnant. As My discharge seems completely normal.... if anything dry? Is this possible to have no symptoms at all apart from a missed period?

Nope other then some light bleeding at the very early stages.

I did get a veery ‘leaky’ vagina towards the end of my pregnancy though.

Garman · 31/05/2021 11:23

Of course you don't, where did you hear that? I've never had that in early pregnancy.

Emilylh · 31/05/2021 11:28

I’ve just been googling it. And everything I seem to come across is normalising getting different discharge as soon as your pregnant.... nothing says it normal to get nothing... if that makes sense. I think I’m just freaking out a bit.... I just don’t know what to expect. Thanks for the reply though! Makes me feel normal haha

Stop googling.

romdowa · 31/05/2021 11:35

Weird discharge didn't come for a few weeks for me. Easiest thing to do here would be to take a test.

willithappen · 31/05/2021 12:04

Stop googling and do a test lol

Symptoms are so different for anyone at this stage, no one can tell you and I'm sure you can't tell just from discharge if you are pregnant.

PinzQueen · 31/05/2021 18:25

@Emilylh ... you and me both. I literally almost cried going through the Google results.
What’s worse is Google will tell you about the dreaded M-word. That’s why I trust these forums: real people with real stories.

Chanel05 · 31/05/2021 18:26

I actually had none at all in my 2ww.

willithappen · 31/05/2021 18:39

Googling, and even sometimes reading here on Mumsnet can cause a lot of unnecessary anxiety. Honestly I'm one to talk because I do the exact same.
I read someone's story and convince myself the same thing will happen to me. I read about someone having a mmc at 8 weeks and have pretty much convinced myself that obviously that will happen to me too.

It's hard as we come here for support but it can often lead to us causing more worry.

PinzQueen · 31/05/2021 18:53

@willithappen 😂😂😂 it’s like we crave the drama while hoping for the best.

Why must we be like this.

xprincessxjanetx · 31/05/2021 19:42

I don't recall having any discharge when I was in early pregnancy and I have had 5 MC's and 5 DC.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 31/05/2021 19:45

I’m now 11+2 and I’ve had no discharge at all. I don’t typically have any and it hasn’t changed.

Jizzonmy · 31/05/2021 19:51

Of course not. Your discharge will fluctuate.
I must say, it’s going to be a long 9 months unless you stop googling things.
You have no blood and no pain. That is what matters.

Erinrose82 · 31/05/2021 19:51

I think anything is normal.. I have three children and just found out I'm pregnant again ! DO NOT GOOGLE go with your body. If your courses are regular and it's stopped, no massive pain and bad smelling discharge very good chance your pregnant. If not then you know. Xxx

EarringsandLipstick · 31/05/2021 20:13

Honestly, these posts like OP's are ridiculous. I'm sure a change in discharge might happen for some women. All sorts of symptoms can be associated with early pregnancy & vary from woman to woman

However, the only definitive sign of pregnancy is a missed period, and that's when you take a pregnancy test.

I know I might sound harsh. I too was a nervous FTM at one stage. But I didn't go looking for unusual symptoms & worry I didn't have them. People have to have some sense.

willithappen · 31/05/2021 20:46

@EarringsandLipstick you do sound harsh, yes. It may read ridiculous to you but OP is clearly worried about it enough to post. We can reassure and provide help to OP that google is not the best but saying it's a ridiculous post isn't nice at all.

shivawn · 31/05/2021 22:23

Everyone has different symptoms, I never noticed any discharge.

DominicsOptician · 01/06/2021 02:05

32+2 and haven't had any increase in discharge! I think the conception boards are full of people symptom spotting and they often seem to think symptoms that don't occur until later in pregnancy happen just after conception - change in discharge, exhaustion, tingling breasts, flutters etc. Which is totally fine, it's natural to hope and be watchful! But it does mean you get a bit of panic at how mundane the whole thing is when you do eventually get pregnant and the only symptoms you have are period cramps and maybe feeling a bit thirsty.

Jizzonmy · 01/06/2021 08:39

@willithappen I agree with the PP, it is ridiculous

willithappen · 01/06/2021 12:04

Sometimes you should keep your opinion to yourself though rather than upset someone who is clearly worried.
