Hello everyone I seem to be gaining a pound a week dead on during my second trimester of pregnancy I'll be going into third trimester in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if anyone else found it normal to gain a pound a week? Looking on google this seems to be a good guideline? 🤰🏻👶

I put on no extra weight by week 16 from my booking weight at week 8. Now 32 weeks and have gained over 28lbs from booking weight eek.

I’m almost 39 weeks and apart from my booking appointment nobody has ever weighed me, so long as baby is growing well midwives don’t seem to be too interested in weight anymore.

I’ve gain about 10kg overall but I am quite thin anyway so haven’t really changed shape much apart from the bump.

I’m 30 weeks and have stopped checking, I don’t want to see anymore 😩😂 I gained nothing in the first trimester then have now gained nearly 2 stone! I’m just hoping it doesn’t keep going at that rate til the end, trying to do some pregnancy workouts and walking but I don’t think it’s helping

@sarah13xx

I feel your pain 😩 I've gone from checking every other day to checking once a week to now thinking I should stop looking full stop it's so hard everyone seems to be different dependent on your gene make up. I was 10 stone and have gained just over a stone so far and I'm 23 weeks n it's all in my arms legs and face it really makes you feel awful but we have to remember it's all for our little one 👶🤰🏻🤗

I'm 22 weeks and I'd gained close to 10lbs when I checked last week, I haven't been checking throughout pregnancy though so I don't know how much of that is 2nd trimester but I hadn't gained any visible weight in 1st trimester anyway.

@Flower11111 yeah it’s very true, it will all come back off eventually and when I’ve seen pregnant people in the past they could have put on 4 stone and I wouldn’t think they look fat. Always thought you’ve got such a good excuse when you’re pregnant but now it’s me I’m paranoid about being fat 😂

I’m 30 weeks and gained 22lbs so far. Didn’t gain anything until 17 weeks then gained on average 2lbs every week since then. I weight myself once a week the same time and day every week for a trip comparison. Didn’t realise I had put so much on til I worked it out then!! X
