Hey yummy mummy's and mummy's to be.
I'm 17+3 and obviously know I'm pregnant. Is it normal to know your pregnant but simply not "feel" it. Got all the symptoms but I can go hours simply forgetting that I am. I'm just not having that "glow" everyone talks about or the "gooey" feeling. I've had 2 prior miscarriages-could I be subconsciously withdrawing from the excitement. Any advice is welcome 😞

That all sounds normal, I'd think it was weirder if you constantly thought about being pregnant 24/7 tbh! I'm the exact same dates as you and often don't think about it for hours when I'm busy.

Yep I think that's pretty normal at 17 weeks, at this stage it's still pretty much just a concept and with your history it's understandable. As your baby grows and you start feeling them move they become much more part of you and I remember not really feeling any connection until after my 20 week scan when it all started feeling a bit more real. I think you just need to cut yourself some slack and enjoy the next few months.

I definitely think miscarriage takes the innocence out of early pregnancy and it is hard to think it is real - I had MMC last year and am now 20 weeks but still cannot picture a baby at the end...

I had awful morning sickness & have been having movements for a couple of weeks - still don't feel pregnant despite this! People have started commenting on how big I am getting, but again just doesn't feel real!

Have scan next week so hoping all will be ok and it will maybe sink in a bit more then!

So I think it is totally normal! x
