Hi everyone,

So I found out I am pregnant a few days ago, my period is due tomorrow so im 13pdo, ive had 3 positive tests now and the line is getting stronger each time, i am just so nervous with this pregnancy because i had a blighted ovum november 2020.
I thought everything was going well except i had zero symptoms of being pregnant which i did think was odd because i was super sick with my two children.
Im just so scared of going to another scan and seeing an empty sac!
how can i shake this scared feeling and try stay positive?
many thanks for any replies x

I don’t think there’s an easy solution to feeling nervous when you’ve had a previous miscarriage. My understanding is while blighted ovums are common so too is it common to have a very normal pregnancy afterwards so try to cling onto this. As hard as it is, try not to second guess your symptoms as they might be different from previous pregnancies but that doesn’t mean anything is wrong. My sister breezed through her first pregnancy and was sick throughout with her next two so they can vary a lot but I understand how scared and nervous you must be feeling x

Hi,
I’ve just come across your post from a while ago, and I was hoping to see how you got on.
I have also suffered with a blighted ovum and have just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant I have an early scan booked for 2 weeks time and I’m already worrying about what I’ll be told

Any positivity you have would be great xx

@Lauren1822 I’m pregnant after a blighted ovum. I’m 35 weeks along now.

That first scan is nerve wracking but my anxiety eased after the 12 week scan

Good luck x

I am also currently pregnant after blighted ovum in May last year. 18 weeks for me and everything fine so far!
@Lauren1822 2 weeks can be an eternity when you are waiting for a dreaded scan, hopefully they fly for you and it's good news Flowers
