Im a mum of two boys. Both pregnancies were the same, very easy lovely pregnancies with the same cravings. This pregnancy (5-6 weeks) is so different already. Back ache, very tender breasts, cramp and completely gone off tea/coffee and having so many different cravings already. Did anyone's pregnancy differ for each sex?

All 4 of my pregnancies have been different some way or the other and I have 4 boys x

I’ve got a boy and girl; with my girl I felt sick all day but rarely actually sick whereas with my boy I was sick most days but felt ok by mid morning. Completely different cravings amd the opposite made me sick; I craved dairy products with DD but they made me feel sick with DS.
I also had a neat bump with DD but a more spread over one with DS.

Markedly more morning sickness with my girl after two boys - it went on well into the second trimester.

I had morning sickness with both boys thought it was quite bad at the time, and then had a girl morning sickness was much worse and went on much longer. lol i didn't have any more. lol

DS I had HG, was really sick, generally unwell and miserable throughout.

DD (currently 36+3) was awful until 18-20 weeks then improved a fair bit. Have good days and bad days but generally a much more pleasant pregnancy.

DS was by far worse!

First pregnancy had some nausea a pit mid afternoon each day but otherwise fine, second pregnancy was sick everyday the whole way through after each meal. Both were boys!!! ( was convinced I was having a girl second time round quite a surprise when he came out a boy!!!)

My first two pregnancies were identical in every way (though only going off the first trimester as the second pregnancy didn't make it past 12 weeks, but morning sickness came and went at the same points)
I had a big sweet tooth all the way through my first pregnancy too.

Third pregnancy the sickness started later and lasted a little longer, generally felt a bit different. Constantly devoured chocolate!

Fourth and current pregnancy (21 weeks) felt entirely different and sickness lasted MUCH longer than when I was carrying my other two children. Absolutely craved salty and savoury foods.

All four times I've been pregnant I've been carrying girls! Smile

Mine were very similar with sickness etc and I had a boy and a girl

BurningBenches · 23/05/2021 18:32

Not really, the symptoms have just got worse with each.

Dd1, 2 and 3 - no nausea, severe heartburn, PGP with #2 and 3.

DS(DC4) nausea, heartburn, no PGP
DC5 (90% DD) worst nausea of all, heartburn and PGP.

All babies (so far) also bald so bucks the heartburn wives tale too.

My first two children (boy then girl), their pregnancies definitely felt different. I had very bad hyperemis on my son, was sick on my daughter but not half as bad. I also had cravings on my son, nothing on my daughter. I've just had baby no.3 (9 days ago). We didn't find out the sex, but I had all the same symptoms and cravings as on my son. I had said the whole pregnancy it's a little boy I'm carrying. When the little one was born a few days ago, turned out to be a BOY. So for me, I definitely have different things happen depending on what sex I carry.

I was absolutely fine with my little boy whereas I was sick as a dog for 20 weeks with my little girl and covered in an itchy rash towards the end. I had heartburn with both.
